Nick is a mastery level security and intelligence (physical and cyber security) expert who is extremely adept at working with CEOs, executives, entrepreneurs, and companies of all sizes to detect, respond to, and mitigate security risks of all levels with a practical and easy-to-understand approach. As a professional who has dedicated his life-long career to learning every aspect of the security and intelligence industry, Nick intimately understands that no two security issues are alike. Because of this, he approaches every situation by first understanding the current security posture and criticalities of an organization. Secondly, the vulnerabilities and potential threats, and lastly, provides a tailored security solution for effectively mitigating security risks from all foreseeable angles.


Over two decades Nick spent time in both the US Government and the private sector; to say the least, it was more than interesting. Nick developed extensive experience with a wide variety of special operations tactics and techniques, high-risk security operations, including Executive Protection (EP), Business Intelligence Operations (BIO), clandestine tradecraft, designing Insider Threat Programs to safeguard Intellectual Property (IP) from internal and external risk elements, business Counterintelligence (CI), and unique counter economic espionage operations, to mitigate coordinated intelligence activities directed at US corporations and establishments, all the while utilizing Technical Security Counter Measures (TSCM), the process of detecting electronic signals used in electronic eavesdropping.


Nick gained significant experience during his nearly decade-long service in the 75th Ranger Regiment, an elite Special Operations Force serving as a special operator, and as a paramilitary operative for US Government entities. He joined the US Army just five days prior to September 11, 2001, and subsequently deployed to high-threat environments fourteen times, participating in over 600 direct action operations in support of global counterterrorism efforts. 


Following his time in the Government sector, Nick spent a decade working in some of the most intensive and technologically advanced financial institutions the corporate world has to offer. Specifically, Nick has in-depth expertise working with Fortune 50 companies, to include the world’s largest electronic trading exchange, some of the largest financial banking institutions, and proprietary trading firms in the world. Working with large multi-national institutions, Nick has successfully built out several security and threat detection programs, some of which have had significant impacts in protecting business operations and the organizations’ mission-critical assets, the people and their intellectual property.


Nick regularly advises entities of virtually every size and industry, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, financial crimes Special Interest Groups, and Ivy league universities as an expert presenter and lecturer on economic espionage, corporate insider threat programs, and global security efforts. Nick holds an Executive Program Certificate in cybersecurity from Harvard University, as well as a Master's degree in Counterterrorism and Terrorism Studies and an undergraduate degree in Intelligence Management, both from National American University, Henley-Putnam School of Strategic Security.
